HI,

Just wanted to let you know how much we loved watching the movies that you were in. My parents also had a christmas album that I use to play constantly at that time of the year.

Well just wanted to let you know that we think your a wonderful actor and especially singer. I also have saw an episode of you as a guest on the Big Valley. It was a great episode.
Take care. Health and Happiness to you.

Dear Vera & Robert:

I was born in 1966 - a time when kids hated their parent's taste in music, but I LOVED listening to you. I associate you Robert, with Christmastime - your voice is immortal, everlasting and memorable. To make sure that I enjoy my Christmases with my own three children; I made sure to tape all of my mom's Christmas albums. You are on so many of them.

Vera - I do not know if you are spiritual or not, but I'm going to tell you that when you ask outloud for Jesus to help you - to make your requests known - he hears.

State your requests every hour at the same time, praying to Jesus, for atleast 6 hours in a row -do this and you will atleast feel like you are doing "something." And when you pray - visualize Robert surrounded by lavender - the color of the creator.

A part of my childhood, now a part of my children's....Robert Goulet will always be special to me.
All my love & prayers,

Vera and Robert,

You don't know me but I will be praying for you both. Our heavenly Father is on top of this. Our faith will be increased and I know you are trusting Him for everything. Rely on Him, He loves you most. Remember faith is believing what we do not see, yet still believing it will be. God bless you both.

Dear Mr. Goulet,
I know that you might not be able to get this email directly to you right

now, but I wanted to tell you that I remember as a young girl learning the
words to the songs that you sang and I even had one of your wonderful
albums that I treasured for a very long time. I loved your voice. Still do.
I am so sorry that you are in much need of a lung transplant at this
time, I just wish I could give you mine, but even though that's not possible, I feel

that we all receive what we need when we need it, and if it doesn't happen
in time, then it is meant to be. We have our destiny laid out for us, so if
it is the time for you to go beyond this world, then I can only wish you the very
best in the Bardos. Below is a prayer called The Clear Light Prayer from a
book called The American Book of the Dead by E.J. Gold (see below).
Just tonight while Mr. Gold was doing a radio show with Jimmi Accardi
on KVMR in Nevada City, California, someone called in named Larry to
mention about your needing a lung transplant and doing a tribute to you. I
was very struck by the request, so I proceeded in looking the entire 4 hours

I was there for an album with your songs on it, but out of the hundreds of
CDs and old record albums, I was never able to find any the entire time. I
was very disappointed that they didn't have anything by you. You were
always my favorite singer for as long as I can remember.
Could you please read this short Prayer to Mr. Goulet for me:
Confronting the Clear Light Prayer:

"Now I am experiencing the Clear Light of objective reality. Nothing is
happening, nothing ever has happened or ever will happen. My present
sense of self, the voyager, is in reality the void itself, having no
qualities or characteristics. I remember myself as the voyager, whose deepest nature
is the Clear Light itself; I am one; there is no other. I am the voidness of

the void, the eternal unborn, the uncreated, neither real or unreal. All
that I have been conscious of is my own play of consciousness, a dance of light,
the swirling patterns of light in infinite extension, endless endlessness,
the Absolute beyond change, existence, reality. I, the voyager, am inseparable
from the Clear Light; I cannot be born, die, exist or change. I know now
that this is my true nature."

Thank you. The very best to you, Mr. Goulet and family.
Sincerely,
Tabatha Jones

I just read that you were very sick and I wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I saw you onstage back in the 1950's when I was living in NYC and I never forgot your performance.

Mr. & Mrs. Goulet,

Our deepest prayers are with you and your family. I wanted to share our story to give you hope and know that there are those of us who truly know the fear and uncertainty of what you are going through. On July 13th my husband began having difficulty breathing and was hospitalized on July 20th for 8 days. He left the hospital on oxygen (having never been on oxygen before, actually nothing more than aspirin & vitamins). At this point he was unable to walk more than 10 feet without resting while ON oxygen. He is 63 years old and could walk and run just 2 weeks before he began experiencing shortness of breath. August 25th we arrived via ambulance to Stanford University Medical Center at 2:30 am, He was evaluated and listed on the national organ recipient list on 08/29/2007 and was transplanted on 9/03/2007. If you would like to read his story you can go to www.carepages.com and put in LeRoyBiggers and see the chronicle of events leading up to and post transplant. Our journey is rare and we are indeed so blessed to share the joy of this incredible gift. Please understand if there is anything we can do to help, as we are no longer strangers but share in a rare situation only a few thousand people have ever experienced, please don’t hesitate to ask. GOD is so good and he will provide you with the strength and courage you need.

Love,

Love to you both.....Namaste...Rachel Ray

Dearest Bobby & Vera,

I am so deeply saddened by the news of your illness and need of a lung transplant. I have tried to call the hospital to leave a message that I am praying for your recovery and, for an immediate lung transplant. The hospital denies that you are there and, a woman named Simi Singer in the P. R. Department refused to take a message for you.

I will pray that God will send a donor soon and, that he will give Vera the strength to continue her bedside vigil until you are well. I am calling out all Angels for your speedy recovery. God Bless you both.

All the best,

Dear Mr. Goulet,

I was dismayed to hear of your health issues and would like to express my best wishes and prayers for your recovery. I have loved the way you sing since I was a child in the sixties and hope that you will be able to have many years ahead of you to keep singing for us.

Dear Robert and Vera;

We have the same last name and our genealogy search shows us to be third cousins. Regardless, we have always enjoyed Mr. Goulet’s resounding voice. His music has been a joy in our family’s lives. People I am introduced to always ask me if I am related to Robert Goulet, and my answer over the many years has become Yes!, but we don’t have Thanksgiving dinner at his house, (smile, smile).

Our entire family is praying for your family and for a speedy recovery of Mr. Goulet. We have sent our email request to the hospital urging them to continue there diligence in locating a transplant.

May God bless all of you,

Frank and Sharon Goulet

Your voice and style are distinctive and give the world a richness of vocal music that is so rare. You've given so much and we still want much more.

I have COPD and emphysema so I know the challenges of how difficult breathing can be. Keep fighting as a donor will be found.

You are in my prayers.

Dear Mr. Goulet,

I am very saddened by the news of your condition. I and countless people around the world pray and wish that you will receive a successful transplant and recover quickly.

I was honored to have met you in Las Vegas in 1991 or 1992 at the World Martial Arts Challenge when I sang the national anthem for the event not once, but twice. Following the event, you called me from your pool to invite me to your performance of Camelot at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco, CA, however I was unable to attend due to the death of my father at that time. I do remember you telling me that I would have to see you perform after you had to listen to me sing the national anthem twice!

When you are feeling better I would like to send you a CD that I have just released titled "Whispers Of Love" for your listening pleasure.

You are one of my greatest inspirations and I hope to see again. Best wishes and God Bless to you and your wife, Vera.

Truly,

Hello Mrs. Goulet,

I saw your husband's story and wanted to give you information. My father was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis about 7 years ago. After less than two years he was weeks away from your husband's current condition. He miraculously was given the gift of a lung right before he could barely breathe even with oxygen running 24/7 at full strength. He was rapidly dying right before our eyes because he could not breathe. My mother was tireless in her quest to help my father receive a lung and in her research of this disease.

He received his lung from a young man who was killed in a bicycling accident in Washington DC. He is now over 5 years out from his transplant and doing unbelievably well. He currently sits on the board of the Transplant Center in Maryland, which basically decides which area hospital receives the next organ to offer to someone on their transplant list. He received his transplant at Fairfax Inova Hospital in Northern Virginia near Washington DC. He was also on a transplant list for Maryland and also for Pennsylvania. My mom was in constant contact with Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, U Penn and also Fairfax Inova, which is where he ended up getting the transplant. She has the names of the top doctors both nationally and internationally who are experts on this terrible disease.

It sounds like you are working against time right now and need a donor match immediately, but please look into getting him on multiple transplant recipient lists. Also, get on television or on your website and BEG people to become organ donors on their drivers license. The more donors, the more organs to cultivate and the more lives saved. It saved my Dad's life. He is currently 64 years old, so he was a bit younger, but if your husband is otherwise healthy and most importantly has the family support to get him through the post transplant difficulties, then they will consider him and push him to the top of the list. Of course, the lung has to be a match for him - blood type, size of lung, etc. He will get one lung and will be able to function as if he has two - you usually get two lungs only if you have cystic fibrosis. The "bad" lung will remain in his body and basically crumple up, while the transplanted lung will thrive with proper care and medications. He will also probably meet his "lung brother" - the person who receives the other donated lung from the donor. There is one lung (left or right) that is slightly preferred to receive over the other - not sure which one but your doctors can tell you.

We certainly had financial means to buy a lung if that was possibly an option, but as you are aware that is not possible or we would have done it - honestly legal or not - we were absolutely and deeply desperate to save his life, just as I am sure you are now. If I could have, I would have given him one of my lungs right out of my body and had started the process to test for the possibility.
Please feel free to contact me and I can get you in contact with my mother if you need to talk to someone who has gone through this exact thing as a mom and a wife. Even though we are on the East coast and not near where you currently waiting, she is quite knowledgeable on this subject and as I mentioned is the person who helped save my father's life through her tireless research and persistence. My grandfather loved your husband's music and while my mom would help anyone at all on this subject, I know she would be even more willing to speak with you since your husband first is from Canada I believe (my mom grew up there) and also gave my grandfather so much joy through his music.

I know you do not know me and I do not expect you to reply given the enormous weight you are under. Your husband's story caught my eye and when I saw the disease pulmonary fibrosis named, I felt I had to reach out to you with information. I hope this email has helped you in some way and has offered you some hope during this time. My thoughts and prayers and with your family.

sincerely,

Kara Oliver
