Dear Mr. Goulet,
I know you can't read this right now, but my prayers are with you. Now we all know you love JUlie Andrews as your favorite leading lady. Once you and I met in Denver and you patted me on the tummy the same way you did Julie when you appeared on her 1972-'73 TV show. Love you and I want to hear "If Ever I Would Leave You." Like The Sound of Music lyric says," And I'll sing once more."
Love,
Lynda Morgan
I am having surgery on Monday, October 29th. I don't expect anything to happen, but I have asked, if for some reason I do not survive, that my lungs be tested for compatability with Mr. Goulet's. I want him to have first chance. My doctor knows he is in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sianai. I send you all my prayers.
Best.

I had the pleasure of meeting you on a tram at the Las Vegas Airport. You were on your way to Syracuse for a show. I will never forget the smile on your face. You just looked happy and relaxed. Thank You for the entertainment that you provide. You are one of the few people in the World that allows us to escape the Rat World if only for a moment with your incredible voice and charismatic nature. You are in our prayers and may you have eternal peace.

Vera: I send my very best thoughts and wishes to Robert at this time. Hopefully, he will get the transplant as soon as possible and will continue to make audiences happy all over the world.....Peace, Peter

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Goulet,
Just wanted you to know that each of you are in my prayers.
I am not famous or am I wealthy, but I trust God that Mr. Goulet and myself as well will get a lung soon.
His situation is a little more urgent than mine right now- so I pray it is very soon.
I am 59 years old and have been on the transplant list for over a year. My heart is with anyone that cannot breathe.
I urge anyone to be an organ donor, it is the best thing you will ever do to help others.
Ms. Vera, hang in there- everything is going to be okay.
I am looking forward to the day I hear that he has received a lung.
Blessings to each of you, Jenny Nicley

Dear Vera & Bob:
We are so sorry to hear about your health crisis. You are in our prayers and I have put you on a prayer wheel that is international. I know that everyone tells you that if they can do anything they will. We are saying it and mean it. If we can run errands for you or full fill any appointments here, please call on us. As long as we are physically able we will be there for you. Can you believe that Ted is 77 and I am going to be 80 in January? I can't.
Please know that we love you and want the very best for you.
Eve & Ted Quillin
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Robert and his family as they await this transplant. My husband and I had the thrill of a lifetime about four years ago in Waltham, Massachusetts when Robert appeared at the Reagle Players. It had always been a dream of mine to see Robert in person after having listened to Camelot as a little girl and at the time he used to come to Monticello Night Club in Framingham, Massachusetts but we didn't have a car to be able to go see him; thirty-five years later I heard the wonderful news he was to appear on our local doorstep of Waltham and immediately got tickets and to my incredible surprise not only had the chance to hear the legend in person with his phenomenal show but got to meet him backstage where he signed my Camelot album, patiently spoke with us and posed for a picture; that picture has been pasted for these past four years on our fridge and continues to make me smile; we treasure that memory. Wishing you all the very best.

I'm praying for you. Hop-e you recover well from your lung problem. When you get better maybe you can come back to Mount Airy Lodge in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania to see the recent re-building that gone on there. I know you sang there in the past.

Goulet Family,
Please know that you are in our prayers!!!
Dear Mrs. Goulet ~
How could I send my best wishes without addressing you specifically(!) In the few quotes I've read of yours in this situation, it's clear and convincing evidence to me that you are a fearsome, loving, lioness warrior of a woman and completely partner to your dear husband. How lucky is he...and how wise is the woman to learn from your example!
Two songs occurred to me, both recorded by Kate Miner. I hope you don't mind if I send them to you with lyrics attached. May they stir you to hope, faith, and comfort. I'm e-mailing them separately, as the file sizes may be too large to include in one Yahoo-based e-mail.
Again, bless you and thank you for taking such valuable time to answer my previous letter.
You're amazing.
Much love,
~ melissa chavez
PS: I added my request to the hospital for your husband's transplant. Godspeed!
Thank you Melissa,
for your thoughtful and kind words to help us get through these dark times.

Dear Mr. Goulet ~
Like many from my generation, I grew up listening to your lovely, booming voice and riveted by your dark hair and piercing blue eyes. To a young girl, you were *the* epitome of a gentleman who possessed impeccable style and class. I'm so thankful to have enjoyed your talent over the years and have made sure that my own children have grown up proper, that is, to also be made aware of your gifts as a singer and performer. My 13-year-old Alani Rose especially thinks you're the coolest guy ever and has often asked me to please replay your songs and Emerald TV commercial.
I'm so sorry to learn of your health struggles and pray that you find resolve very soon. Add to your qualities perseverance and bravery, Mr. Goulet. You truly are one tough and passionate dude. My very best to you and your loving family during this challenging time.
May you sense the Lord's pleasure and favor in the days ahead. You are a blessing to this place.
With great regard,
~ melissa chavez
Mr. and Mrs Goulet,
I grew up in the 60's listening to Mr. Goulet's music and would sing along with him as "Camelot" or his "Sincerely Yours" album played on my parent's stereo. I also have fond memories of watching "Blue Light" with my dad. As an adult, in more recent years I have enjoyed and been marvelled by Mr. Goulet's performances as King Arthur, and I would be in attendance at The Fox Theater whenever his Camelot tour came to Atlanta. The "singing along" I did as a youngster "with" Mr. Goulet encouraged me to have a short lived "career" in high school musical productions, and I still sing from time to time, mostly at church. As a matter of fact, just yesterday I was in the car singing along with "If Ever I Would Leave You" and was commenting to my wife about your amazing voice when she told me of your illness. I found your website and felt compelled to contact you, and you are the only celebrity I have ever felt compelled to contact. Mr. Goulet, I have been one of your silent fans for many years and thought that you would like to know that you have touched many with your voice and your music. Your voice is the singing example of perfect, and I wish you a speedy and complete recovery. We also want to hear you belt them out 'til you are 100!
Sincerely yours,
Bob O'Keefe
You are in the thoughts and prayers of many people in
Arkansas. We love you and pray that Robert's recovery
will come about soon. It isn't time for the voice that
has thrilled millions to be stilled. As Vera said,
there are many more songs for you to sing, Robert.
This is coming from the little redheaded reporter from
Benton, Ark., who interviewed the two of you probably
20 years ago when you were in Little Rock for a
benefit concert to help raise funds to purchaset a
mobile stroke unit for a group. You were both so
gracious and such fun and we've visited after concerts
in ensuing years in Little Rock and Memphis (after
Orpheum performances), again always being so friendly
and gracious. Most of the time, my friend and
neighbor, Anna Laura Liszewski was with me. She, too,
sends her wishes, but she understands even more than
me what you must be going through. She recently
learned that she probably will have to have a liver
transplant.
I mailed (by traditional U.S. Postal Service) a column
I wrote about Robert, which appeared in the Benton
Courier on Sunday. I hope you receive it. It expresses
how I feel about your situation.
Keep your faith strong, Vera. It's so hard to see the
one you love in need of life-sustaining organs, but we
pray they will be available soon. I read all the
e-mails that were posted on the Web site, even the one
from the disgruntled person who was less than kind.
Hurting people sometimes do hurtful things. Please
know that others love you and wish you nothing but the
best.
Thank you, Vera, for sharing Robert with the world.
Your graciousness and friendliness are treasured by so
many.
God bless you both.

Dear Mr. Goulet:
I've admired your powerful singing for many years now, and the original version of your signature tune, If Ever I Would Leave You is one of my favorites.
I was born in 1969, but I've often imagined that the fans who may have shed tears over Mario Lanza's loss in 1959 might have taken much comfort in your arrival on the American music scene a year later.
In your time of need, I honor your Catholic faith by sending you the St. Joseph Prayer card attached to this e-mail. I send it with all my best intentions, and I wish you a speedy recovery.
Prayer to Saint Joseph Holy Card (Paper)
Yours Very Sincerely,
Deborah Earle
Robert-
I was upset to hear about your weakened condition, but I have faith you will pull through.
My friends and I have a party in your honor every year, and when you are better you can attend and be the guest of honor.
Cheers to a successful operation and speedy recovery – we all hope to see you back onstage soon.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I have been a fan ever since I had the great privilege of seeing you in "Camelot" in 1961. I was totally in love! My husband and I also had the pleasure of seeing you at Westbury Music Fair, this time as King Arthur in the very same show! I loved them both. Please hang in there and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of need. Miracles still happen!

We are all praying for you here at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle Washington!
While I'm here I'll tell you how I love the songs you sing. You made Toy

Beetle Juice was on twice and I watched both airings so I could see you

Get well soon and have a great day~
